North Dakota Weekly Cattle Auction Summary

Mon Dec 2, 2019
USDA Livestock, Poultry & Grain Market News · Federal-State Market News Service, Bismarck, ND (LS-BM)
Receipts 16,561Last week 0Year ago 0

Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers 2.00 to 3.00 lower, feeder heifers under 500 lbs 3.00 to 4.00 lower, over 500 lbs steady to 1.00 higher. Moderate to good demand for feeder cattle this week. The market was under some pressure after last week's large winter storm that moved across the midsection of the country and dumped large amounts of snow and rain. Feedyard pens, in cattle feeding regions, are in poor shape again as temps warmed up and the frost came out again.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
