Compared to last week feeders sold steady to 5.00 higher, with several load lots of heavy yearlings 7.00 to 10.00 higher. The supply of feeders was moderate although the total number of auctions was limited as the 4th of July holiday fell over the weekend causing two weeks of interrupted auctions. Demand was good especially for the load lots of yearlings which nearly every auction had at least a few in the offering this week. One highlight was early week at the Ozarks Regional Stockyards in West Plains, which is about as far south as you can go and stay in the state, a single draft of 436 head of 914 lbs. steers sold at a151.25. Later in the week Green City Livestock Market held their Annual Customer Appreciation BBQ Sale and had 15 full pot loads. A load of 915 lb. steers sold for 155.25 and a few part loads of mid five weight steers hit 200.00 smooth. Weather wise producers saw a pretty calm week of weather till the weekend when some pretty severe rain and wind passed over north Missouri with some heartbreaking reports of damage in some areas both to crops and structures. Boxed beef cutouts continued to slide lower choice closed on Friday at 278.59, down 6.86 and select at 257.41, down 7.00 from the previous week. As of the last report published Friday afternoon feedlot sales totaled about 81K with live sales reported from 119.00-126.00 and dressed sales from 196.00-202.00. The Missouri Stocker Formula consists of 3984 head with a weighted average of 171.24, up 2.69 for the week.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Missouri barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
