Compared to last week steers and heifers under 700 lbs were not well tested; over 700 lbs sold steady to 4.00 higher. Demand was good. Slaughter cows and bulls sold 5.00 to 9.00 higher. Feedlot trading reported in Kansas sold 3.00 to 8.00 higher at 233.00-238.00, mostly 235.00. Again this past week, feedlot trading in Kansas marked record high prices. This past week in the hay market, demand was light, trade was moderate, and prices were steady. Storms continued to cover most of the state, making it near impossible to get in the fields and made hay movement very slow in many regions. There has been some movement of new crop alfalfa and continued movement of old crop and grass hay.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Kansas barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
