Compared to last week, the offerings were very light this week due to the week of extremely high temperatures, therefore no comparison is available for auction feeder cattle or auction slaughter cattle. Demand was reported throughout the state as moderate. Compared to last week, fed slaughter steers and heifers in the feed yards sold steady at 179.00. In the hay market, demand and trade activity remains slow, prices were steady. As hay harvest continues, additional scattered rainfall this week has led to further improvements in some of the highest categories of drought.
