Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers under 600 lbs sold on a light test, though a lower undertone was noted. Feeder steers over 600 lbs sold 1.00 to 6.00 higher. Feeder heifers over 600 lbs sold 10.00 to 12.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Demand was reported throughout the state as good. Compared to last week, fed slaughter steers and heifers in the feed yards sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower at 178.00 to 179.00. In the hay market, demand remains slow, and trade activity is slow. Grinding alfalfa and ground and delivered alfalfa prices continue their softer trend, with dairy hay retaining its value. Grass hay prices this past week were mostly steady.
