Compared to last week, Steers under 600 lbs sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher on a light test, while those over 600 lbs sold 1.00 to 5.00 lower. Heifers sold uneven; 2.00 lower to 2.00 higher. Demand was moderate. Slaughter cows sold uneven; Breakers and Boners sold firm to 1.00 higher, while Leans sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Slaughter bulls sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Compared to last week, Fed Slaughter Steers and Heifers in the feedyards sold steady at 123.00. Hay market prices are steady for alfalfa and grass hay. Demand is fair to good, with trades picking up, only slightly, across the state. Producers report hot and dry conditions persist across the western two-thirds of the state and any rain received was very spotty.
