Compared to last week, steers under 600 lbs sold uneven on a light test, while those over 600 lbs sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Heifers under 800 lbs sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower, while those over 800 lbs sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 2.00 higher. Compared to last week, fed slaughter steers and heifers in the feedyards sold limited on a light demand with a few live purchases from 123.00 to 124.00, however not enough for a full market trend. Hay market prices steady for alfalfa and grass hay. Demand is fair to good with trades slow across the state as producers report a slowdown in trades as folks do not seem to be buying much hay. Most report hot and dry conditions across the state.
