Compared to last week, steer and heifers calves were not well tested this week on light receipts. Feeder steers sold steady to 3.00 lower, while feeder heifers sold uneven; 2.00 lower to 2.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good. Slaughter cows were sharply lower after the previous weeks sharply higher undertone. Slaughter bulls were 3.00 to 4.00 lower. Compared to last week, fed slaughter steers and heifers in the feedyards sold steady at 121.00. Hay market prices remain mostly steady for alfalfa and steady for grass hay. Producers state that things are “quiet”, with trades slowing in some areas, however, demand remains good with lots of out of state interest
