Compared to last week steers less than 600 lbs sold 10.00 to 13.00 higher, over 600 lbs sold fully steady to 5.00 higher. Heifers less than 450 lbs sold 13.00 higher, 500 to 600 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher, 600 to 800 lbs sold 8.00 to 10.00 higher and over 800 lbs sold steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter steers sold steady to 4.00 higher and slaughter heifers sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher and slaughter bull sold 8.00 higher. Demand was good to instance very good for light cattle. Bulk of the run sold in packages with some loads lots sprinkled through the week. Some receipts curtailed especially in the NW part of the state due to power outages and blizzard conditions.
