Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 4 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity Moderate to Good. Feeder steers under 450 lbs sold uneven on a light test, 450-700 lbs were 3.00 to 8.00 higher with instances of sharply higher, and over 700 lbs mostly 7.00 to 9.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs mostly 3.00 to 8.00 lower, 550-800 lbs sold sharply higher, and over 800 lbs were too thinly tested for a market trend. Dairy feeder heifers over 800 lbs sold mostly steady to 5.00 higher with instances of sharply higher. Average dressing slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Average dressing slaughter bulls 4.00 lower. The next available report will be Monday, March 17, 2025.
