Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand Moderate to Good. Volume picked up coming off the Holiday week as prices rallied. Feeder steers sold sharply higher across all weight classes with the exception of 500-600 lbs steers that sold 7.00 to 9.00 higher. Feeder heifers across all weights classes sold sharply higher. Average dressing slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower while average dressing slaughter bulls sold 10.00 higher. The next available report will be Monday, December 16, 2024.
