Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand moderate to good. Feeder steers under 450 lbs were lightly tested at 3.00 to 9.00 higher, 450-850 lbs 2.00 to 7.00 higher with instances of 11.00 to 15.00 higher, and over 850 lbs traded uneven on a light test. Feeder heifers under 750 lbs sold 11.00 to 15.00 higher, and over 750 lbs were lightly tested at 7.00 to 11.00 higher. Feeder Dairy heifers over 900 lbs sold uneven, trading from 5.00 lower to 1.00 higher. In the slaughter supply, average dressing slaughter cows sold steady to 4.00 higher and average dressing slaughter bulls sold 4.00 lower. The next available report will be Tuesday, February 20, 2024 due to the Federal Holiday.
