Compared to last week: Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auction markets included: Centennial Livestock, Winter Livestock, La Junta Livestock, Sterling Livestock, and Livestock Exchange. Trade activity and demand moderate to good. Feeder steers under 600 lbs sold mostly 1.00-5.00 higher with those under 350 lbs selling sharply higher. Feeder steers over 600 lbs sold steady to 5.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 500 lbs sold mostly steady to 5.00 lower with the exception of some firmness noted in those weighing 350-400 lbs. Feeder heifers over 500 lbs sold mostly steady to 5.00 higher with the exception of some weakness noted in those weighing 800-850 lbs. Beef/dairy crossbred steers and heifers sold unevenly. Holstein steers under 700 lbs sold 2.00-6.00 lower, and dairy feeder heifers under 700 lbs sold 2.00-6.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold mostly 1.00-4.00 lower and slaughter bulls sold steady to 1.00 lower. Bred cow offerings were mostly in the 1st and 2nd trimester.
