Compared to last Thursday, Stocker and feeder cattle firm in a light test. Buyer attendance was good. The CME Feeder Cattle Index was another 12 cents weaker to $162.59 on 2/15. Slaughter cows firm to 7.00 higher. due in part to reduced supply and improved demand. Trade active with good demand for all classes. USDA reported 23,032 MT of beef was sold for export in their weekly report for the week that ended 2/10. That was up 18% from last week, and 0.72%% from the same week last year. South Korea was the top buyer for the week. Beef exports were reported at 16,515 MT which brings the YTD total to 84,979 MT. That is down 15% from last year’s pace.
