Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: Steer and heifer calves sold mostly steady, except for better quality calves weighing under 450 pounds which sold 10.00 higher. Trading activity was moderate to active on moderate to good buyer demand. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 3.00 higher. The entire trading region received anywhere from 2 to 7 inches of rain last week with more rain in the forecast today and into tomorrow due to Hurricane Polo. As a result, pastures have greened up but harvest has been put on pause due to muddy field conditions.
