Compared to last week: Feeder Steers under 500 lbs sold mostly steady, on a light test; 500 - 600 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher; over 600 lbs, mostly steady. Feeder Heifers 400 - 600 lbs sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher; over 600 lbs, were trending lower, on a very light test. Supply consisted of attractive, home raised calves, carrying spring and fall vaccinations, but it was smaller sale than expected because of a storm that hit the area, bringing single digit temperatures, with negative wind chills. Demand was good. The next Spring Calf special is November 18th.
