Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 550 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 higher, over 550 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Heifer calves steady to 4.00 higher, except 350-400 lbs fully 10.00 higher. Very good demand for this large offering of high quality, attractive spring-born steers and heifers. Many long strings of these calves, including full load lots. Market was active with many buyers on the seats, however the market was most active on steers under 550 lbs and heifers under 500 lbs. Supplies of these light cattle are starting to dwindle. Flesh condition on these calves was a tick heavier than what we've seen in recent weeks. Cattle feeders had a renewed sense of optimism this week after last week's fat market of 130.00-132.00.
