Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers 3.00 to 4.00 higher, except 900-950 lbs 10.00 higher. Feeder heifers steady to 3.00 higher. Good to very good demand for this nice summertime offering of yearling steers and heifers. Flesh condition was attractive overall as majority of the offerings were in very light flesh condition as they were coming out of a very dry region. The market was very active on the full loads, just moderate on the packages. Cattle feeders are really wanting to feed a green yearling and are more than willing to chase the market to get them bought as cost of gains are cheap and the CME Live Cattle contracts keep making weekly gains. Cash fed cattle advanced again this week which is helping to spur the feeder market higher. Watch local listings for next feeder cattle sale.
