Compared to last Wednesday's Spring Calf Special: Steer Calves, 350-400 were sharply higher on a light test; 400-450lbs, 8.00 higher; 450-500lbs, 4.00 higher; 500-550lbs, mostly steady; 550-600lbs, 8.00 higher. Heifer Calves 400-550lbs, 12.00-14.00 higher. Today's smaller offering consisted of lots of nice reds, Charolais, and Herefords, selling on very good demand, with most of the regular buyers in the seats. Optimism in the barn seemed high following the election results and the stock market surge. Weather has finally turned fall like, with cooler temps at nights and some moisture. The next spring calf sale will be Friday, Nov. 8, starting at 8:30a.m.
