First Wednesday special calf sale of the fall season, no price comparison available. Good demand for this nice offering of high quality, eye appealing steer and heifer calves. The cattle were light fleshed and growthy looking as they were coming out of very dry country. The market was very active as the quality and kind was just what cattle feeders are looking for. Not as many of the regular buyers in attendance but still the bidding was fast and the sale moved along quickly. Cattle feeders and yearling operators have had a profitable year and are eager to get these light calves bought while they are available. Next feeder cattle sale will be Fri Oct 25, 2024 expecting 8,000 feeder cattle starting at 8:00 am.
