Compared to last week: Slaughter steers steady to 3.00 lower, heifers 3.00 to 5.00 lower. A large offering of very high grading, eye appealing, long time fed steers and heifers. Only moderate demand from packer buyers, but good demand from two way buyers who were quick to step in and buy some cattle that could be fed to heavier weights. Hides were dirty at times, and some cattle carrying quite a bit of fill as the weather has been wet and ground conditions are sloppy. Internet buyers were active as well, helping to push the market along. 12 full loads of steers, 4 full loads of heifers.

Slaughter lambs steady to 4.00 lower. Feeder lambs sold with lower undertones. Good slaughter ewes 20.00 to 30.00 lower, Utility ewes steady. A very large offering of high quality fat lambs. Some lambs were pretty dirty as the rains have been frequent. Good demand for slaughter lambs, more moderate for slaughter ewes. Moderate demand for feeder lambs. Not as many feeder lambs offered as in recent weeks.
