As filed

Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers 4.00 to 6.00 higher. Good demand for steers and heifers. A lighter run, two full loads of steers, balance part loads and stock trailer loads of steers and heifers. Last week's run-up in the direct fat cattle market carried over into the auction this week. Cattle are fairly clean, weights continue to run heavy as the winter was rather mild and cattle have gained pretty efficiently.

Slaughter lambs under 110 lbs steady to 5.00 higher, up to 40.00 higher on 100-110 lbs, over 110 lbs mostly steady. Slaughter ewes 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Another very large offering of sheep, the market was active across all classes. Demand for slaughter lambs remains good, very good demand for slaughter ewes. Very good demand for bred ewes as the lamb market is at an attractive price level.
