Compared to three weeks ago: Slaughter steers and heifers mostly steady. Light to moderate demand from packer buyers this week, good demand from two way cattle buyers looking to buy cattle they can put some more pounds on. 4 full loads of steers, 1 full load of heifers, balance part loads and stock trailer loads. Cattle are carrying some tag on them as ground conditions are wet and muddy. Packer buyers were intent on buying cattle below the country trade last week, and were able to get it done as they showed little interest in buying cattle higher than 226.00. Choice boxed beef was higher, but only at 352.00.

Compared to last week: Slaughter lambs under 110 lbs 10.00 to 30.00 lower, 110-130 lbs mostly steady, 130 lbs and heavier 5.00 to 15.00 lower. Feeder lambs 15.00 to 20.00 higher. Slaughter ewes steady to firm. Moderate to good demand for this large offering of slaughter lambs, very good demand remains for slaughter ewes. Good demand for feeder lambs. Very good demand for the strings of bred ewes.
