Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers 5.00 to 7.00 higher. Very good demand for this nice offering of high quality grading, very attractive, hard fed steers and heifers. The market was active as the CME Live Cattle futures contracts have made a sharp advance over the last week and packers were willing to pay more to get these high quality grading cattle bought. Many consignments were hauled in overnight resulting in a fair weighing condition. 11 full loads of steers, 3 full loads of heifers, balance part loads and stock trailer loads.

Slaughter lambs under 100 lbs sold with higher undertones, over 100 lbs 5.00 to 8.00 lower. Slaughter ewes sold with higher undertones. Good demand for slaughter lambs, yet there was a little pressure on the traditional weight lambs. Very good demand for slaughter ewes. Several sets of light fleshed feeder lambs sold with good demand.
