As filed

Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers sold steady to 1.00 higher. Demand good with active bidding displayed on bigger loads. Offering consisted of cattle being dropped off overnight while the farmer focused on harvest. A majority of the cattle were attractive and fully finished from large supplies of corn on hand. Live cattle futures closed higher today inching toward the $234 range.

Slaughter lambs 3.00-6.00 lower. Slaughter ewes too lightly tested for an accurate trend but with a lower undertone noticed. Demand moderate on all classes. There were a handful of lightly fleshed feeder lambs seen.
