Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers steady to 1.00 lower, Holstein steers firm. Good demand for this nice offering of very attractive, hard fed steers and heifers. Best demand remains on black hided steers and heifers without any implants. Many full loads of steers and heifers, along with numerous stock trailer loads to put together and make full loads. The market was rather active. Estimated dressed cost ranged from 297.00-302.00. With the heavy rain in the region on Monday, cattle were starting to get a little dirty as they picked up some tag but it wasn't a large amount.

Slaughter lambs under 90 lbs 25.00 to 30.00 higher, over 90 lbs 10.00 to 12.00 higher. Good demand for slaughter lambs, the market was active. Lamb pelts were fairly clean overall, in spite of the recent heavy rain. Slaughter ewes not well tested for comparison.
