Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Holsteins 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Demand for this eye appealing offering of fat cattle was moderate. Black hided are in biggest demand. Lighter weight cattle than usual are being sold to slaughter in the last few weeks. Estimated dressed cost 226.00 to 231.00. CME Live Cattle slightly higher, while corn took a big jump. Slaughter cows 4.00 to 7.00 lower. Bulls sold with steady undertones.

Traditional slaughter weight lambs 17.00 to 21.00 lower. Demand for this large offering was moderate. Slaughter plants are not running to capacity. Slaughter ewes Good 4-5 steady in a light test, Good 2-3 8.00 to 10.00 lower, Utility 1-2 20.00 to 25.00 lower, Cull to few to make a meaningful comparison.
