Compared to last week: Slaughter steer and heifers 2.00 to 3.00 higher, instances to 4.00 higher on heifers. Holstein steers 4.00 higher. Improved demand this week, yet some packer buyers not fully participating. The overall quality of the cattle were very eye appealing as they were hard fed with many days on them. 7 full loads of steers, 1 full load of heifers with the balance part loads and packages. Weighing condition was fair as the cattle have had to endure some hot and humid weather and weren't carrying so much fill,, estimated dressed cost looked to be from 159.00-163.00. Packers raised their bids in the country to get cattle bought and that carried through to the auction today. Slaughter cows 2.00 to 5.00 higher, bulls not well compared.

Slaughter lambs mostly 1.00 higher, Slaughter ewes 7.00 to 10.00 higher. Feeder lambs not well compared. Demand for slaughter lambs moderate to good, improved demand for those lambs under 100 lbs. Very good demand for slaughter ewes, just moderate demand for feeder lambs.
