Compared to the last best test, two weeks ago: A limited offering of slaughter steers, heifers and Holstein steers sold with a rather steady undertone. Light to moderate demand for this week's short run of steers and heifers, few packers participating. Even the though the offering was light quality was very attractive. 2 full loads of steers, 1 full load of heifers along with 2 part loads made up this week's supply. The quality grade was high, weighing condition average which made for an estimated dressed cost of 160.00-163.00. Very little demand for fat heiferettes as they sold at cow price. The slaughter cow market was very active, cows 8.00 to 10.00 higher, bulls too lightly tested.

Compared to last week: No comparison available for this week's supply of slaughter lambs as they were of different weights than last week. Good demand for lambs under 100 lbs. Very good demand for slaughter ewes as fat ewes out sold the one package of 150 lbs fat lambs offered. Fleshy slaughter ewes 8.00 to 10.00 higher, Utility mostly steady. Moderate to good demand for feeder lambs.
