Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers 2.00 to 5.00 higher compared to last week's uneven market. Light to moderate demand from packer buyers again this week, good demand from two way buyers who pushed packers on market ready cattle. Another large offering of very attractive, high quality grading, hard fed steers and heifers. Estimated dressed cost looked to range from 185.00-188, weighing conditons were fair but hides were dirty at times as feedyard ground conditions are wet and muddy. Two way buyers were ready and willing to push the market higher on cattle weighing over 1400 lbs that could either go back on feed or could go to kill in the coming weeks. Slaughter cows 1.00 to 3.00 lower, up to 6.00 lower on Lean cows, bulls not well compared.

Slaughter lambs steady to 2.00 lower. Slaughter ewes sold with a much higher undertone, too few offered last week for a complete comparison. Feeder lambs not well tested for a comparison. Moderate to good demand for slaughter lambs. Very good demand for slaughter ewes, especially on the fleshy ewes. Moderate demand for the limited offering of feeder lambs.
