As filed

Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers fully 1.00 higher, Holstein steers steady. Good demand again this week from packer buyers, all packers were participating which has not been the case over the last two months. The market was active in spite of lower Live Cattle futures and lower boxed beef values. Weighing conditions average to moderately full, estimated dressed cost mostly 184.00-186.00. 10 full loads of steers, 1 full load of heifers with the balance small packages and part loads. Heavy rains in the early morning hours kept some cattle producers from being able to haul cattle to the auction. Slaughter cows and bulls mostly steady.

Slaughter lambs mostly steady, feeder lambs steady to firm in a light test, slaughter ewes sold with higher undertones in a limited test. Good demand for slaughter lambs and ewes, moderate to good for feeder lambs, moderate for replacement ewes.
