Compared to two weeks ago: Slaughter steers, heifers, and Holstein steers 3.00 to 5.00, instances to 6.00 higher. Moderate to good demand for this nice offering of fed cattle. Packers appeared to be much shorter bought for the week and were willing to give more at the auction. Weighing conditions only average as there were some overnight cattle, but still cattle were far from empty looking. Estimated dressed cost this week ranged from 181.00-186.00 with a lot of cattle costing 183.00-185.00. 12 full loads of steers, 4 full loads of heifers with the balance part loads and packages. Slaughter cows and bulls mostly steady.

Slaughter lambs mostly steady, slaughter ewes steady to firm in a narrow comparison, feeder lambs too narrowly compared. Good demand for this very large offering of slaughter lambs, quality was very attractive. Improved demand for ewes as well. Moderate to good demand for feeder lambs, but overall quality not nearly as attractive as what we have seen in recent weeks as this week's lambs were smaller framed.
