Compared to last week: Steer and heifer calves not well tested last week to offer a comparison with this week. Yearling feeder steers and heifers 5.00 to 15.00 lower. Moderate to good demand for steer and heifer calves, overall quality was mixed but there were plenty of buyers on the seats wanting to buy these packages of light cattle. Moderate to good demand for yearlings. The market was not as active as last week as the futures contracts lost considerable ground throughout the week, yet today Feeder Cattle contracts were locked the 9.25 limit up and Live Cattle up 7.00 with most months locked the 7.25 limit up, which helped to add some support to the market. A good sized offering of yearling steers and heifers, flesh condition ranged from moderate to heavy at times. Many full loads and multiple loads lots in the offering but cattle feeders are uncertain of what lies ahead and weren't willing to compete as hard as they did last week.
