Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers and heifers 10.00 to 20.00 higher. Very good demand for this nice, summertime offering of yearling steers and heifers. Many long strings of yearlings, including the feature consignment of 800 head of steers, 11 loads in the main sort. The market was very active as the cash fed cattle market stays very strong, up to 242.00 in the country last week. Flesh conditions ranged from light to moderate plus. A few light weight calves offered, lots of activity on those kinds as well. The futures markets were off hard, Feeders almost 6.00 lower, but it did not affect the market at the auction as cattle feeders want to buy these yearlings when they are offered.
