Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers and heifers steady to 5.00 higher. Very good demand for this nice offering of steers and heifers. The market was very active as the cash fed cattle market continues to advance to new all-time, record prices, up to 237.00 last week. There is much optimism amongst cattle feeders as the cash market continues to outperform the futures contracts, the basis is currently 22.00 cash over futures. Many long strings of yearlings, flesh condition ranged from light to moderate plus. Many full loads and multiple load lots, buyers took all the loads in the sort when they had the opportunity. Smaller consignments of fall born calves and light yearlings remain highly sought after.
