Compared to last week: Feeder steers 2.00 to 4.00 higher, feeder heifers mostly steady. Good demand for this offering of high quality, attractive yearling steers and heifers. Many long strings of yearlings, with some off grass but most out of backgrounding yards. Many full loads and multiple load lots which sold on a very active market. Flesh condition ranged from light to moderate plus. Moderate to good demand for this light offering of spring born calves, quality was uneven but there were some attractive, light fleshed calves that were fully preconditioned and sold on an active market, much less activity on those without preconditioning shots. Cattle feeders are wanting to place yearlings on feed but they are still concerned as breakeven prices are well above the current levels of the respective Live Cattle contract months. Slaughter cows steady to firm, bulls steady.
