Different weight classes than last week so an accurate price trend can not be established. Today's feature consignment was a string of 1200 backgrounded black steers in moderate to moderate plus flesh from one family operation. These attractive steers were met with very good demand with buyers taking all loads of same weight cattle to fill pens. A handful of home raised packages made up the rest of the offering, mostly plain to average in quality and met with moderate demand. An active market for this offering with fewer buyers attending but those present were determined to own cattle. Another string of steers from the same family operation will be offered next Thursday, May 1.
