Reporter comment USDA

As filed

First reported sale in three weeks so an accurate price trend can not be established. Very good demand for light cattle suitable for grass and backgrounding, moderate to good demand for bigger, finishing type cattle depending on flesh condition and tag. Many loads of each type available as well as many packages. The majority of today's cattle were home raised and quality varied, especially on packages as producers clean out pens to prepare for calving. A moderate to active market seen for this offering with the most activity on lighter cattle, especially load lots. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, March 20.
