No feeder cattle sale last week due to Thanksgiving, compared to two weeks ago: steers 400 to 499 lbs 12.00 to 17.00 higher, 450 to 499 lbs not well compared, 500 to 599 7.00 to 10.00 higher, 600 to 649 lbs 10.00 to 14.00 higher. Heifers 450 to 649 lbs 3.00 to 8.00 higher. Very good demand for this large calf offering. Many loads and packages of top shelf calves available, almost all off the cow and with all their shots. Flesh condition mostly light to moderate with some fill seen at times but mostly the weigh up was attractive and the calves were open haired and bloomy. Market was very active as buyers and farmers compete to buy calves after the holiday week and before the year's end. Colder temperatures this week with a warmer weekend expected, most of the area has no snow at this time. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, December 12, the last feeder cattle sale for 2024.
