Compared to last week: steers 400 to 449 lbs and 500 to 549 lbs mostly steady with instances up to 20.00 higher on 500 to 549 lbs, 450 to 499 lbs 4.00 to 9.00 higher, and 550 to 599 lbs 10.00 to 13.00 higher. Heifers 450 to 549 lbs 10.00 to 15.00 higher, other weight classes of heifers not well compared. Good to very good demand for calves today with load lots from reputation outfits seeing the best demand. A few more weaned packages this week, mostly weaned 30 or so days, but the majority of the offering still coming off the cow. Quality mostly average to attractive with quite a few colored cattle in the mix. Mostly light to moderate flesh on the cattle. An active market with buyers and farmer feeders aggressively trying to fill pens, there will be very few opportunities to get cattle next week. Much cooler and more seasonal weather this week with some snow on the ground. No feeder cattle next week due to Thanksgiving, next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, December 5. Happy Thanksgiving!!
