Different weight classes compared to last week so an accurate price trend can not be established. The feature consignment of today's feeder cattle sale was a backgrounded string of 1100 attractive black steers from one family outfit which were met with very good demand. Very good demand for a couple loads of home raised heifers with the balance of the offering selling in packages and met with moderate to good demand depending on quality which varied quite a bit. An active market on loads, moderate on packages. A positive day on the board for both feeder and live cattle. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, May 2, expecting another 1100 steers from the same family outfit.
