As filed

About half the number of feeder cattle as last week with many weight classes not well compared. Best test on steers 550 to 600 lbs 5.00 to 8.00 higher and best test on heifers 450 to 500 lbs and 550 to 600 lbs 4.00 to 8.00 higher, 601 to 650 lbs mostly steady. Good demand for today's offering of quite a few packages and a handful of loads. Less bigger, feeding type cattle than last week and more light grass types, these see very good demand, especially those with black hides. Quality varied, from plain to attractive. A moderate to active market with both farmer feeders and order buyers in the seats. A bred cattle sale after the feeder cattle sale had many producers attending as well. No sale next week due to the Black Hills Stock Show, next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, February 9.
