Compared to last week: steer calves 400 to 650 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 lower with instances up to 20.00 lower on 400 to 450 lbs. Heifer calves 400 to 600 lbs mostly steady. Moderate to good demand for today's large calf offering featuring many, many packages and quite a few loads. Quality varied more this week, from plain to attractive. All calves came off the cow today with varied preconditioning, calves without all their shots were discounted at times. Mostly light to moderate flesh again this week with slightly more fill on the calves today. A moderate to active market with a few less buyers and farmer feeders than last week. Harvest mostly wrapped up in this area, conditions remain very dry and dusty. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, November 10.
