Compared to two weeks ago: best test on steers 800 to 850 lbs and 900 to 950 lbs 4.00 to 6.00 higher. Heifers not well compared. Good to very good demand for this offering of attractive yearlings off grass. Several strings and loads available, plus packages, most of these being tested open heifers. Flesh condition mostly light to moderate. pastures are short and dry. An active market with good buyer attendance. Hot and dry conditions continue in this area. Silage season is well underway, with many producers cutting more acres than expected or buying fields to chop from grain farming neighbors. Watch local listings for the next feeder cattle sale.
