First reported feeder cattle auction of the late summer marketing season, no price comparisons available. Very good demand for this nice offering of attractive yearling steers and heifers. The yearlings were off short grass pastures and in a very attractive, light flesh condition. Several load lots and multi-load lots, the market was active as buyers were eager to get these cattle bought and took all the loads in the sort that were offered to them when they won the bid. The drought has been severe in this part of the trade area and is pushing cattle to market earlier and lighter than normal. Watch local listings for next feeder cattle special sale.
