Compared to two weeks ago: best test on steers 600 to 650 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 higher, 651 to 750 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Best test on heifers 550 to 600 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 higher, 601 to 700 lbs mostly steady.

Moderate to good for today's offering of many packages and a handful of loads. Varied quality today, from plain to attractive, with many packages of plain to average cattle on offer as producers empty out lots to prepare for calving. Varied flesh, mostly light to moderate plus. Some tag on the cattle as warm temps are thawing lots and making things sloppy. A moderate to active market with a more limited crowd of buyers today. A day of losses on both live and feeder cattle futures. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, March 19.
