A much larger offering than last week with best test on steers 700 to 800 lbs mostly steady. Heifers not well compared. Moderate to good demand for this offering of many packages and loads of both home raised and backgrounded cattle with several opportunities to buy multiple loads from one producer. Several loads and packages of replacement quality heifers from reputation outfits were met with very good demand. Overall, more flesh on today's offering than last weeks', with most cattle today in moderate to moderate plus flesh with some heavy flesh at times. Quality mostly attractive today. A moderate to active market seen for this offering. Temps have warmed up to slightly above freezing and are expected to stay this way for the next week or so. This is very welcome weather as some producers will start calving soon or have already started. Next feeder cattle sale is in two weeks, Thursday, March 5.
