Mostly black hided calves today coming off the cow in light to moderate flesh. Most had a complete shot record, those without were discounted at times. A moderate to active market for this offering with some of the usual crowd of buyers and well as a few bull breeders, the market was most active on consignments from reputation outfits. More interest in calves now that the snow and rain of last week has passed, temps remain cold but a warm up is forecasted. Quite a bit of crop still in the fields and farmers are pushing hard to get harvest completed. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, November 2, expecting 7000.
