No sale last week due to the heat, compared to two weeks ago: steers 900 to 949 lbs 5.00 lower, 950 to 1099 lbs 10.00 to 15.00 lower. Heifers not well compared. Good to very good demand for today's offering featuring several strings as well as loads and packages. Several consignments coming off grass due to dry conditions, as well as some tested open heifers as PG season gets underway. Flesh ranged mostly from light to moderate plus. Quality varied, but many attractive cattle to choose from. A moderate to active market with the futures complex putting quite a bit of pressure and uncertainty in the market. Some cooler temperatures for a few days before very hot temperatures return for the weekend and beyond. Most areas are in need of moisture. Watch local listings for the next feeder cattle sale.
