Compared to last week: steers 750 to 1049 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 higher except 800 to 849 lbs not well compared, instances up to 15.00 higher on 750 to 799 lbs. Best test on heifers 750 to 799 lbs 10.00 to 13.00 higher on a narrow comparison. Very good demand for all classes of cattle today. Many finishing type cattle on offer again this week, most selling in loads and strings, in moderate to heavy flesh. Quality on loads mostly average to attractive, more plain to average cattle featured in packages. An active market with buyers eager to own cattle as cash fat cattle saw sales of 257.00 earlier in the week and the futures complex has shown strong momentum this week as well. There is much enthusiasm for the fall marketing season again and buyers are determined to have cattle on hand. Cooler weather this week with some much needed rainfall in some areas. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, May 6.
